Volunteering at The Green Chair Project

Volunteer jobs are varied and include light work to heavy moving. We are so grateful for all the help we have already received.  It takes many hands and hearts to make The Green Chair Project work and we'd love to have you come join the fun!

 Volunteer Hours and Enrollment

  • Individuals

    • If you are interested in becoming a regular volunteer, please connect with us at the end of summer to discuss the best volunteer fit for you.  Contact one of our volunteer coordinators Emilee at volunteer@thegreenchair.org or Betsy at betsy@thegreenchair.org. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
    • Short-term volunteer openings are during our cleaning shift (3-5 pm Tuesday-Friday).
      • Orientation is not required. 
      • To volunteer, please click here to sign up for your shift(s).  When you arrive for your shift, you will be asked to enroll as a short-term volunteer.
      • All minors (ages 13-17) must bring a copy of his/her Volunteer Minor Release Form signed by a parent/legal guardian on the first day of volunteering.  We will keep this form on file for any shifts the minor may work in the future.  We cannot accept release forms that have been altered or changed.   Click here for a link to print the form.

  • Groups (4 or more individuals) 

    • Wednesdays & Fridays from 10 am-5 pm
    • 1st & 3rd Saturdays of most months from 10 am-1 pm

     Age Limits

    • Minors must be 13 years or older to volunteer and anyone below 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
      • Groups with children under 18 must have a 1:5 adult to youth ratio.
    • All adults must actively volunteer with the youths and closely supervise them throughout their visit.
